While this may come as a surprise to some Dollar Tree is my one-stop-shop for toddler craft supplies! The store has every craft essential you could imagine. Paper, paint brushes, paint, beads, pompoms, canvases, and so much more!

It’s hard to walk down the craft aisle in Dollar tree and not spend $10 on some stuff. Crafts are an awesome way to get one on one time with your little one, and get their creative juices flowing!

Joshua and I started a little early with Valentine’s Day crafts, but who cares. It gives us almost a whole month to make even more!

I’m about to share 3 fun Valentine’s Day crafts for toddlers. Everything we used was purchased from Dollar Tree if you didn’t already guess that from the first couple of paragraphs.

What we used:

  • Canvas
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Marker
  • Red beads
  • Pompoms
  • Glue – at first I used regular “Elmers” brand glue which was not strong enough. I grabbed some super glue and that worked perfectly.
  • Toddler hand – this is the most important item!!
  • Glitter – I tried to do something fancy and sprinkle some glitter on the handprint before it dried. I 10/10 recommend not doing this as it looks equivalent to blood splatter… LOL

Ignore the smeared tiny human handprint… getting it perfect is a lot harder than it looks. That was the only hard part of this project though! The whole thing was very easy.

I really didn’t spend more than $12 on all of the items that we needed for these crafts. Quite honestly, I had all of this in our craft bin and was just able to pull it out and go. Yes, our craft bin is fully stocked through Dollar tree. Which is why were are able to keep it stocked! You can’t beat the prices.

For just $12 I was able to put a smile on my kiddos face for at least an hour. As much as I love doing arts and crafts it can get messy. Make sure if you’re using any paint inside to have an apron for the kids and a tarp (for your carpet)! Amazon has a great selection of toddler aprons!
